Full Fibre Open Access Model

Open access means competing Service Providers share a common FTTP infrastructure operated by a neutral wholesale operator. The network is open to all providers on the same terms and conditions. VXFIBER does not provide services but simply enables ISPs via its open access platform.

The benefit to customers is that they are not locked into a monopoly. If customers want to switch to another ISP, they can do so easily, within minutes.

South Africa:

Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban

In partnership with Vumatel, we are the largest open access network operator in South Africa, with over 200,000 subscribers, and connecting new subscriber at a rate of 200 per day.

Belgium:

Genk

Working closely with Fluvius and the local community, we are committed to transforming Flanders’ digital infrastructure with the first open access network in Belgium.

UK:

Stoke-on-Trent

As one of the first cities in the UK to benefit from VXFIBER’s fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP), open access model, the partnership between VXFIBER and Stoke-on-Trent City Council signifies a milestone as part of the City Council’s drive to transform Stoke-on-Trent’s digital landscape.

In 2017 VXFIBER went into partnership with the Grosvenor Estate as part of its drive to transform London’s digital landscape.
